When Broadway/Hollywood star Ali Jazz drops all pretenses and returns to her hometown of Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania to await the birth of her 4th child, the whole world is turned upside-down. Ali Jazz, whose real name is Jasmine Alison Ernst, is greeted by faces from her past: Madame DuBois, la prof de francais, Mrs. Wesley and Mrs. Rothermal, her old music teachers, Miss Mia, her ballet teacher, several high school friends, and one man she's been trying to forget for 8 long years. Thanks to council from Julianne Middleton, her best friend, Ali thinks she's over Bentley Stanford. When he shows up dead on the stage of Mifflinburg High, however, Ali has to put her feeelings aside and solve a murder - before she finds herself behind bars!
